Step 1: Pick Your Method
Want to try extensions without commitment? Get Clip-Ins. You can put them in and take them out in minutes, zero risk.
Want something semi-permanent? Get Tape-Ins. They last 6-8 weeks and are the most invisible option.
Not sure? Start with Clip-Ins. You can always upgrade later.
Step 2: Pick Your Color
Match the ends of your hair, not your roots. Take a photo of your hair in natural light (no filter). Compare to the VELXIMO color chart. If you are between shades, pick the lighter one — it is easier to tone darker.
Step 3: Pick Your Length
- 14-16 inch: Shoulder length, natural everyday look
- 18-20 inch: Mid-back, noticeable length
- 22-24 inch: Waist length, dramatic
Measure from behind your ear downward. 18 inches is the most popular first-time length.
Step 4: How Many Packs?
- Fine hair: 1-2 packs
- Medium hair: 2 packs
- Thick hair: 2-3 packs
Order one more pack than you think you need. You can always return unopened packs.
Step 5: What Else Do I Need?
- Loop brush (essential — prevents pulling on bonds)
- Sulfate-free shampoo + conditioner
- Heat protectant spray
- Silk pillowcase (optional but recommended)
